On Thursday, June 2, we visited Linkmenys Jewish cemetery. This initiative was led by teacher Diana Žvirblienė, who has expressed her interest in contributing towards Lithuania’s Jewish cultural history. Ms Žvirblienė was assisted by her students from the local school. We are honoured to receive support from all volunteers!

Linkmenys Jewish cemetery is located on the outskirts of the town, on a small hill. The way to the cemetery is not paved. However, the cemetery is easily accessible. An old stone fence remained and memorial stone is standing. Many surviving tombstones are in a bad condition.
